Getting there and around |

There is an international airport at Marrakech served by both international carriers and charters, however many of these flights are seasonal and only the major air routes are covered. However there are increasingly competitive rates to Marrakech and the city is perfect for a short winter break. Casablanca, less than one hundred miles away, is well served from all major European cities and there are regular domestic flights linking the two towns. There is a multitude of transport available in Marrakech and they are all excellent. Getting around offers no other problem than choosing your means of transportation. Regular trains are connected to major cities and many other destinations, the train station being within a couple of kilometres of the Medina. Car hire is reasonable in Morocco but it does pay to shop around. Otherwise, for the more brave or money conscious travelling is best done with a combination of buses and shared taxis. |
